Citizenship Ceremony at 2pm followed by a fun packed family day.

Activities on the day commence at 3pm with a BBQ and food stalls, rides and activities such as a mobile rock climbing wall; Mechanical surfboard; slam dunk bungee and a jumping castle; not to mention plenty of fun entertainment with on stage entertainment by the ‘Wilds Aussies’ and a traditional performance by ‘Descendance’ an Aboriginal dance troupe.

The recently developed Off Leash Zone will be open for dog owners and their four-legged friends to enjoy with a demonstration by the Customs Dog unit, an obedience showcase by The Sydney All Breeds Dog Training Club and Flyball demonstrations by the Central Coast Surf Stormer team, a Goulburn Flyball team and also the PICSI (Parramatta International Canine Sports) Flyball team; the day would not be complete without a ‘Pooches Fancy Dress Competition’.

Santa & Reindeer on the boxing day!

WHAT IS A BOXING DAY? For those who don’t know will think that it is the day for the boxers to have a fight… hehe It’s not also the day  that boxers will hang around the ball w/ their gloves nor people will go boxing w/ each other… It’s not what you really think at all!

On 26 December 2008, We celebrate the Boxing day here in Australia. Some of the countries like Canada, UK and New Zealand celebrated it too. They called it St. Stephen’s Day, one of the first martyr christian who stoned to death in Jerusalem on this date.

It is a public holiday where people are given a day off after working on Christmas day. It’s where the shops has a big after Christmas sale. So nowadays, It means SHOPPING DAY!!! Everyone  will be at the mall shopping to death! heheh

Also it’s the time for the Church to open their lock box or donation box to be given to the less fortunate people or charity…

with Santa Claus

It was our first Christmas celebration here in Australia. We had a summer Christmas here unlike the one we’ve always seen on the movies that snows are falling and you’ll wear winter clothes but here you have to wear shirt and shorts coz it’s hot during the day… But right now, it’s mostly cloudy and the wind is cold. During the Holiday seasons… I’m starting to miss Cebu… For the first time that I didn’t went to an early morning mass or what we called “Simbang Gabi” or Misa De Gallo”.  I miss waking up so early and went straight to Church w/o even taking a bath… then after the mass, the salo2x w/ sikwate and puto.. I remember that last year I experienced walking to San Vicente by myself w/ umbrella hehe but most of the time, we’ll go to Redemptorist or Asilo w/ my family… I even had a wish that will always come true if you complete the 9 morning mass… It’s awesome! The wishes and prayers were really answered!

Altough we have some relos here in Aus, It’s still kind of boring… unlike in Philippines, you’ll be very busy starting on the month of November.. Your schedules were all fully booked by different parties from friends… I had mine always full and so busy w/ work and listing the gifts for the inaanak, friends and families… Then if the Bonus arrived, shopping to the max!!! hehe after that, you’ll be broke! hehe anyway, I don’t mind as long as I’ve gave  something small, not big to all of the people around me.

Last 24 December 2008, We had our Christmas party in my uncle’s place…. The usual filipino style that we celebrated it before before 12 midnight comes.. We had some amazing games and delicious filo foods! hmm.. yummy.. Reece had his santa costume… hehe  so cute! We had a unique exchanging gifts that you can steal the gift from someone before you… I got a traveler iron and Bath stuffs.. It’s worth it! hehe

On the day of Christmas, 25 December 2008, We were just staying in the house  and had lunch w/ Tab’s cousin and family… Then we decided to drop the gift to my uncle and we went to the city to have coffee.. Most of the shops were closed so we end up having coffee @ Mc Cafe hehe  Then, tabs got his frist breath testing experienced from the Police.. hehe It was kind of funny coz he wasn’t the one who were hail by the police but it ends up he parked on the corner of the road because a car suddenly overtake him.. hehe  When he was tested, I made a joked to him that the officer had a result stated “BAD BREATH!” hehe =) Hope you understand what i’m talking about here..

To sum it up, We had fun but we just miss the Christmas spirit in Philippines. We miss Redhorse! haha

Proud to be pinoy

We had a small gathering @ my uncle’s place to watch the Pacquiao and De la Hoya’s fight..  We had BBQ, sinugbang isda, pansit, and all other filo foods.. Of course Rice =) We even had this $5 bet  for pacquiao and luckily we won! hehe

Pacquiao defeated Oscar De La Hoya on Saturday in their welterweight “Dream Match” at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas via a sensational 8th-round TKO that defied odds makers and virtually sent the Golden Boy into retirement. Poor baby face De La Hoya…

I can say that many people were really excited watching the boxing game… Everyone was so happy especially us pinoy.. It is our pride that the Philippines won again! On the other end, there were three 3 Filos died because of Pacquiao’s victory… It’s because of their excitement and that led them to heart attack… It was quite a sad news for the families… Because of a very thrilling and breathless game, someone they loved passed away. I hope pacquiao will pay a visit to them…  for more info.. visit www.inquirer.net

Well, that’s so much for now.. my only comment… I wish magbisaya nalang si Pacman ig interview and mag hire nalang siya interpreter para atleast maka express siya unsa iyang gusto isulti… Agree mo?

After Rocknolds had his bath, he decided for us to go to the beach! It takes us almost 2 hours to reach Avalon beach. From Burwood it is around 49kms… That’s quite far and so hot driving under the sun…  It’s our first long travel here in Aus. Thanks for our very helpful GPS “tomtom” for giving us the direction wherever we go… We ordered KFC to have some snacks while on the road and when we arrive.

Wildlife

Along the way, we passed the wildlife and for the first time we saw a dead kangaroo on the side of the road.. I’m not sure if it’s a joey or a momma kanga… it’s not that grown up.. maybe that’s why one of the car crashed on her… poor kanga…

We passed by Newtown beach, and they had this small carnival in the park and a lot of good selling along the road… it’s cheap! Many people went there to shop and swim on the beach…

When we arrived at Avalon Beach, a lot of families were there… also sexy girls in a bikini and gorgeous guy w/ their short.. and also w/ the surfers in their suit.. There’s a strong current and the wind is so cold.. We tried to swim in the pool. my god! the temperature is 17 degrees celsius.. how can I every swim on that kind of water… it’s freezing!!

After a couple of hours, we went back home… we passed by a long winding road again and also on the other side of wildlife.. good thing there’s no joey there… we’re so tired… i felt so hot! my face’s burning… It’s quite a long travel and a great experienced we had… hehe  We’re planning to go to another beach soon. maybe on the easter part for now.. The Northern Beaches is quite far.. hehe but it’s a great one too! Someday, we’ll have a holiday home there! That’s my dream! hahah =)

We captured one of Reece Scot’s tap & chicken dance and his cleaning habit.. He loves to play w/ the vacuum, imitating me… and also the feather duster… and when he found some cloth or tissue.. he will bend down and clean the floor.. hehe ooh.. what a smart boy he is.. hehe the imitator..

I woke up early today to prepare breakfast… As usual, Reece got up first and woke me up.. We slept in the living room last night coz it’s warmer than the Bedroom. Tabs greeted me and told me that I’m already old. Old enough to be single and Good to have a new family, new country and new Life.

26 years ago, mama Grace told Papa Roy that she’s almost due… then papa just laugh hehe  then on the 26th of November 1982 @ 8:30pm… A beautiful baby was born (ehem)… I was born in the hospital just right across to our house in Cebu.   I was the only girl in the family.. the eldest and only granddaughter of my lola & lolo in the Butaslac side…  all of my lil cousins are boys   but on my mother side, we’re mostly girls =)

I am living in this almost perfect world called earth for 26 years  9,471 (including 7 leap years) 227,304 hours 13,638,240 minutes and 8,182,944,400 seconds…  that was quite big enough if i have saved money since birth hehe you reckon?

So much for the calculation.. It just makes my head ache..  Anyhow, I’m thankful that God gave me this life… I’m thankful that i have a loving family who had supported me since then.. Even if I made mistake, they gave me another chance..  And when I have my own family now, they’re still there to support me emotionally… Even though we’re a miles apart… communications are still there for us always…  Without them, I never be like this… =)

Thanks for my beloved hubby, for the never ending love and care he showed to us… especially when we had our beautiful angel which means so much to us… He gave us the light and make me more mature ever! hehe… I thank Him for leading us the right way which I always asked..

Well, they said that life starts @ 40… I’m passing halfway and going on the 3/4 of that age I’m just wondering.. what’s that life would  be? I bet I still look young by that age.. wahaha. Let’s see..
